Who We Are

The National Commission on Muslim Filipinos – National Capital Region (NCMF NCR) is a government agency under the Office of the President of the Republic of the Philippines. It is dedicated to the welfare, development, and empowerment of Muslim Filipinos residing in Metro Manila and surrounding areas.

Established in 2010, the NCMF NCR serves as the primary government instrument for implementing policies, programs, and services that address the unique needs and aspirations of the Muslim community in the National Capital Region.

We work closely with local government units, civil society organizations, religious leaders, and other stakeholders to promote peace, unity, and inclusive development for all Muslim Filipinos.

Our office is committed to upholding the principles of social justice, cultural preservation, and interfaith solidarity as we serve the Muslim community in the nation's capital.

Our Mandate & Functions

Under Republic Act No. 9997, the NCMF is mandated to:

Legal & Policy

Formulate and implement policies, programs, and projects for the development and welfare of Muslim Filipinos in the National Capital Region.

  • Provide legal assistance and counseling
  • Ensure the protection of Muslim rights
  • Coordinate with national and local government agencies

Social Services

Deliver responsive social services and programs that address the needs of the Muslim community.

  • Livelihood and skills training programs

Religious Affairs

Promote Islamic values, culture, and education, and ensure the proper practice of Islamic faith.

Our History

Key milestones in the journey of the NCMF NCR

2010

The National Commission on Muslim Filipinos – National Capital Region is established as a regional office under the Office of the President.

2012

Launch of the first Legal Assistance Program for Muslim Filipinos in Metro Manila.

2015

Expansion of services to include Halal certification and mosque accreditation.

2018

Partnership with the City Health Office for community health missions and medical caravans.

2020

Launch of the Ramadan Food Pack Program, serving over 1,000 families annually.

2024

Strengthening of interfaith dialogue programs and community peace-building initiatives.

2026

Continued commitment to serving the Muslim community in the National Capital Region with expanded programs and services.
